On behalf of the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine (SASM), we invite you to attend the SASM 3rd Annual Meeting: Opioids, Respiratory Depression, and Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB): Perioperative Implications, to be held October 10–11, 2013 in San Francisco, CA.

The objective of this meeting is to provide a forum for discussions pertaining to the common grounds between sleep and anesthesia. The goal is to promote excellence in medical care, research and education in anesthesia, sleep medicine and perioperative medicine.

Research Grant Opportunities NOW AVAILABLE!

Submission Deadline: July 1, 2013
Maximum Grant Award: $10,000 for One Year Period

The Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine (SASM) is offering a research grant opportunity for up to $10,000. This grant supports further research in areas common to the fields of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine. Appropriate proposals will be those requesting funds for pilot data with clear intention for a subsequent grant application to a larger source of federal or non-federal support. Therefore the principal investigator must be eligible to submit such an application.

The mission of SASM is to advance standards of care for clinical problems shared by Anesthesiology and Sleep Medicine, including peri-operative management of sleep disordered breathing, and to promote interdisciplinary communication, education and research in matters common to anesthesia and sleep.
